It basically says it may not matter who wins

I find it fascinating that he goes on an on about pay per view and the states at the end that they do not provide HD programming.

Anyone who has seen the difference between cab\sat transmissions in "480i" and that on a DVD can attest to the total lack of PQ on pay per view.

I doubt we will ever see pay per view at the resolutions DVD's and HD video discs will provide.

I think he is way off the mark.

True it did seem like he was comparing apples and oranges, however having cable lines that can deliver 100 MB/sec in digital connection, I don't see how they won't deliver hiDef resolution. It should just be a matter of time.

I guess my issue is that having owned a lot of DVD's , 1) I won't go out and buy them again in Hi-Def and 2) I would still pay $3.99 to watch a movie in Hi-Def (through cable) rather than pay $13 to buy them, since I rarely see them twice anyway.

Don't you agree?
