My 1995 Toshiba TV (CE27C15) has lost all uhf channels (14 and up) following a recent power outage. Channels 2-13 still come in good, ch 14-16 pop in for 1 sec (then drop off for 2 sec), and above 16 there's nothing but noise. I tried unplugging the set for a minute in case there's a power-off reset -no... I also verified the cable is good with another tv.
I don't know if there was a voltage spike on the power line or the cable, but I'm wondering: is this an example of a fried tuner? Anyone know? and is worth fixing? or should I junk it?
Set the antenna/cable select to antenna, then autoprogram the channels. If it doesn't have a manual antenna/cable, it will do it automatically when you autoprogram the channels.
