My rear projection Toshiba is getting old and I want to replace it. However, I live in a ComCast area where there is no HD programing available and there won't be for several years. Here, we only get SD (analog) and standard definition digital channels. Going to satellite is not an option for me.
Therefore, I want to get a new TV that will give me a high quality SD and SD digital picture, yet be HD capable. My priority is on the high quality SD picture.
I would like to get a plasma, LCD or DLP in the 37-42" range with 2 component ins, S-Video in and perhaps even HDMI.
Other equipment in my system includes: 1. DVR - Motorola 6412 PIII 2. An older Yamaha AV Receiver with composite video in/out only. 3. A progressive scan DVD player.
Any suggestions for a new TV that will meet my needs would be greatly appreciated.
