I bought a dvd recorder from walmart on Black Friday. I bought the cyberhome 1200 and dont seem to be having any problems with it. I have recorded lots of movies off tv already. I would like to make backup copies of over 200 store bought dvd movies I have for my kids so they won't scratch up my original copy. I have been looking at all the message on here and searching the internet and find that there are a lot of different video stabilizers out there. I don't have a lot of money to spend right now. so I was wanting to get some opinions on one that I found. The link to it is: http://www.qualitekindustries.com/vidstab.html

Any opinions or helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Those cheapies don't work very good for DVDs. You would be far better off to buy a burner for the PC. They are a lot more reliable and will make better quality backups faster than a standalone. Go to Newegg and get an NEC burner for about $40. If you don't have a DVD-ROM, you'll have to use hacked firmware to remove the riplock.
