Bronze Member Username: Scott_tPost Number: 95 Registered: Sep-05 | trunk of a 1997 monte carlo LS alpine type r 12" bandpass box? ported? not ported? tuned to what? for optimal bass sq. |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 5073 Registered: Nov-04 | Skip bandpass and go ported instead. Tune the port or ports to 28Hz - 35Hz. It's better to use 6" pvc, you will get less wind noise. They can be bought from your local plumbing stores. |
Bronze Member Username: Scott_tPost Number: 96 Registered: Sep-05 | sry but what is the pvc for? and do i make the box out of 3/4 mdf?and how do i actuly tune it? First box..wanna make sure i build it right. |
New member Username: SevenasterisksPost Number: 6 Registered: Oct-05 | Since it sounds like you want sq rather than spl, and have not built boxes before, why not just make it sealed. This would make construction simpler, not require as much tuning, and would (probably) provide better sound quality. |

Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 5076 Registered: Nov-04 | Almost forgot, use 3/4" MDF. |
