Around x-mas im going to be putting in 2 10 or 12" SEs with a kicker kx1200.1 powering them. in either FEB or summer im also going to be putting in some XR650 componets and amp them. i believe that my current stock alternator on a 3000GT is 110amps. what amp alternator will i need once i put in my subs and speakers. around 240? and also i was reading that you need to upgrade your wires. im pretty new to car audio, just been reading up, and havent heard much about that. what are the 3 main wires you need to upgrade, how much will they cost, and is it something i can do own my own without f'ing it up.

imo - i think u can run that amp for the time being once u don't play it loudly all the time & especially if the car is not running . if u add another amp later on for comps then u will have to upgrade alt .....
