New member Username: Homer21Post Number: 1 Registered: Nov-05 | Lifetime Ultra Receiver Aligned: Echo 6,8 (110) - getting reception overall Problem: some channels indicate 85+ signal but no reception (black screen) Already tried: - scanned and re-scanned sats, TP, etc - scanned using "ALL" settings - Also note did the "fix" for the receiver (functional) - Tried aligning to Echo 7 (119). Got no more than about 20 channels after scanning. Went back to 110. Used a meter in series for best signal - Transferred their channel setting to my receiver - still black screens FYI: My brother-in-laws live 28 mile away (45km)they (w/same receiver + fix)say they're aligned to 119 (and 110 w/single LNB - I think they're dreaming) and they get more channels then I do with no blackouts (channels w/ good but no reception). Also they have a larger dish (30" vs 22") I know I'm missing a piece to the puzzle - maybe I can't see the forest thru the trees on this one. Anyone have any pieces to the puzzle???? |
