INAFIA Unregistered guest | is there really a noticeable difference in a walmart wiring kit and a lets say kicker wiring kit? is there a difference in using an inline fuse and block by ur battery as opposed to a regular 100 amp U shaped fuse? |

Alot of automobiles use Maxi fuses for there high amperage requirements. Now AGU glass fuses on the other hand I've seen these do everything from warp inside from heat and lose connection to the solder at the ends melting out. AGU fuses are about like the old glass fuses in 70's automobiles, antiques. The Wal mart wiring kits are Scoche; they're good kits though the kit that looks like 4 gauge is actually a 5 gauge kit (you'll never notice a difference). The RCA's are thin but they work perfectly fine, just be careful not to yank on them, or pinch them. I personally prefer the smaller RCA's because they're easier to fit under carpets. The only thing I hate about buying a 24 dollar kit at Wal Mart as opposed to spending over 60 for the same kit at the local car audio shop is that Wal Mart consumes all and if given enough time will put the local car audio places out of buisness. |

Post Number: 2634 Registered: Jul-05 | Audiopipe wires apparently don't last long @ all cause i recently bought some of their cheap @$$ rcas & used it twice for bench testing ,when i went to install it in my ride 1 of the @#$%! jacks stopped working . I asked my buddy who does alot of installs if thats common with audiopipe rcas & he said yes -so i had to go buy another set but a different brand . Try Lightning audio for some fairly good econo wiring ........ |

Silver Member Username: CadillacdbHouston , TX Post Number: 180 Registered: Aug-05 | Then my Audiopipe Suggestion was a BAD Idea as Supafly has just let you know ... But SuperFly have u tried Audiopipe wire or just the RCA's, Only wondering, i myself have never tried Audiopipe i just thought it seemed like a Good Deal on a Zero Gauge Kit seeing as How most dont go for anything under 100 bucks..Even if you Buy some Q power wire its gonna run you 40 to 50 bucks for the wire alone |
