My old relaible VCR served with distinction for the pass couple of years. But recent changes in my A/V life such as digital cable hook-up, RR cable modem,a lack of VHS tapes at the local B.B. and finally it broke, lead me to purchase my first DVD. I purchased and some how hooked up the following: (A) Panasonic DMR ES20 recorder (B) Scientific Atlanta digital cable box (Explorer 3250) (C) RF Modulator (RadioShack)and (D) Panasonic TV (Old coax connection) Everything works execpt I am unable to schedule record programs from the digital cable. Is their a way to accomplish this seemly incredable feat that my VCR was able to do in a single bound or will I have to trade up? I read info referring to IR blasters, splitting the cable coming from outside etc. Could someone please clue me in on the best way to proceed. Thanks in advance for the help.
