I have windows Xp professional and I have a screen save that won't automatically install. I dragged the it to the windows 32 folder and it still won't show up. is there anything else i should be doing. the screensaver works if i double click on it.
Pictures can be made as screen saver slide show following these steps:
1. Copy the desired screen saver file to "My Pictures" folder(On your desktop double click on "My Documents" folder. It will list "My Pictures", "My Video" and "My Music").
2. Right click on your desktop and choose "Properties". 3. Click on "Screen Saver" tab. 4. Under "Screen Saver" you will find a drop downn list box. In that choose the listing "My Pictures Slideshow". 5. Click "Ok" button.
If you download a screen installation file then it need to be installed. Before installing the screen saver software check the requirement of that screen saver. Because certain screen migh require openGL capability. You can also try installing the service packs for Windows XP and then try installing the screensaver. Also it would help me test and provide you the exact information if you let me know the screen saver file name and the sources from where it was downloaded.
