Bronze Member Username: Terry6405Sullivan, IN US Post Number: 33 Registered: Sep-05 | i have an amp that will put out at least 840 watts at 1ohm and i want to get 2 subs i was really considering the type-r 1242D and will probably get those unless there is somethin that is clearly better for about the same price. i want a warranty on the subs. i also want something very loud but save some sound quality. i have a dual 12 ported box that is about 2 cubic feet per sub. what do you think? |

New member Username: Chevytruck_96Az Post Number: 3 Registered: Oct-05 | I'd go with polk MOMO MM2124 169.99 apiece i had one in my truck on a polk momo amp mono block at 2 ohms pounded stupidly and the bass was tight and clear. My amp was clipping and i didnt break it in long enough and over pushed it big time so i melted it come to find out the Monoblock is underrated by a long shot. These subs have a three year warranty no questions asked on what happened. I personally like JL POLK INFINITY ECLIPSE. thats why i bought a JL 12 W7. As for alpine i have heard type rs and are not that clear. Image Dynamics i hear are pretty good some people pik those over W7 or so i have read and heard. will your amp be able to continuously put out 840 at one ohm stable for extended periods of time? because these subs handle 800 watts max only crapy part but rms is lower so you dont need much 400 watts |
Bronze Member Username: Terry6405Sullivan, IN US Post Number: 44 Registered: Sep-05 | well im gonna get 2 subs so that will be alright if i keep it down a little ill post as many threds as i damn well please and ill use my name anonymous. bitchass |
