Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 09:51 GMT hiya, this may have been covered before but is a sub really required in a system used mainly for multi channel music? I am thinking about buying one (Tannoy TS8, but i live in a small room, and it would seem like over kill to add a sub. I havent yet bought surrounds or a center yet, but they are my priority. Am i right in thinking that bass management directs the bass signal to all other speakers when a subwoofer isnt present? My system- NAD T533 DVDA player NAD T743 AV reciever Marantz CD5000 Monitor Audio B2 speakers cheers

Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 12:01 GMT You are right but a Tannoy TS8 or even better a TS10 would augment your bass and give you a fuller sound. I would however get your surrounds and center wile yiu can still get a match.
