Scoop!! Thanx CC Unregistered guest | BlackList: We have made our feelings known in forums regarding support for various products. In the case of the Pansat2500a, we welcome a new fix for Nag2. When that arrives, we will promote your product based on quality and the most important ingredient, support. Continued support for the Pansat2500a, will shine on all of the Pansat products, people will upgrade based on features and performance, of other Pansat products, all things considered. In regards, to FortecStar Lifetime Ultra, there is no more support for NTSC, for several months, although there is continued support for PAL forum. We have raised this issue with the Fortec Headquarters in Canada, only to be met with utter defiance and ignorance. We advocate a general boycott of all Fortec products based on non-support NTSC. It remains to be seen if Fortec, (Soft1) will release a bin/file for the Ultra NTSC. The PAL version Ultra has released yesterday a file for Nag2. For what it's worth, the support is what counts no matter what version. And we will continue to echo the quality and timing of the Pansat support. |

With that said I have friends who do have them and I know the following: The Multistar can be converted to a Fortec or Pansat 2500 very easily i have a working file for Pansat 2500 and 3500's - I did NOT create the files and found them on various forums. I only wish to have acentral place for all the files. I have a working file for c00lsat and again di dnot create it I have a working file for DreamBox and again did not create it Lastly I have a working file for DVB and again di dnot create it. |

It does not get ecm'd - well it never has been for 2 years and is a pain to jtag as has to be disassembled. I paid 950 each for both receivers and am scared to touch it again so i have to wait for a magic card fix that does not involve jtagging it again |

But I know it works as it has been confirmed. The people using it didnt even know the diff - they must have a 2700a as well. Sorry new to FTA and stuck at work so i have to reply on other people. However there is a 2500 and 2300 release and i am in the que waiting for them as well as a new fortec and atmega release. If i get it before 5 today i will post. |

Is it pretty much the same as previous installs? Turn on bin loader, find bin, and load bin to pansat 2700A? What's throwing me off is the converting part. Another question, all the converting part that was in the first link, is that referring to another fta unit, and not the 2700A? If anyone could answer these questions, i'd greatly appreciate it! |

It is a total mess with a little of useful information. I think this is because: i. There are FTA dealers who spread rumors that fixes are available just to keep prices of FTA receivers up. ii. There are people paid by satellite companies who post bogus files to create frustration and confusion. iii. There are guys who post unrelevant messages just to earn higher user rank status. Don't be fooled by these people. Don't be intimidated. Don't get to excited. I belive we will get those cracks sooner or later. And I think sooner because the market preassure is just to great. |

RANTone Unregistered guest | I have a subscription to DN, and my box seems to be working. Does anyone know why N2 seems to only be effecting FTA boxes? I have an original echostar box, another one modified by someone that works for DN, and an FTA box. The guy told me that he should have a card soon, but I don't know what to believe. All I know is that my FTA is pretty much useless. I don't think it should be too difficult to make a new card that may decipher the codes, since the same boxes are still being used. Any comments would be helpful. |
