My Onkyo HT-R500 shut off due to some frayed speaker wires crossing. Now, whenever I turn it on, it only stays on for about a half second then shuts down. The manual said that this is due to the Active Circuitry Protection being enabled - which it then says to fix see Authorized Onkyo Service Center.
Not wanting to spend the $125 to fix it, as I would rather just upgrade to a better model, I took a look inside to see if there was anything I could do. Saw a broken fuse, replaced it. Still no go.
Any ideas?

Or you can purchase an Integra by Onkyo from us here in corpus christi, tx. ALL there products have a 3 year P & L warranty. Hoping there is an authorized servicenter near you. Repairs can run 150-200 on all these better quality units because of the amount of time you spend getting to the main amp board due to all the DSP and MPU crap in the way.
