Is JVC some garbage?? I like the features some of their head units have. I need a head unit that is sirius ready and so far all I see is kenwood, clarion and JVC. I mean would a JVC be an ok choice or should I keep looking?

It's all right but you would be best off getting something better.

Why do you need a sirius ready unit? You can get a plug and play sirius receiver and all you would need is a headunit with an aux-in feature.

Do you think the difference between the Clarion and the JVC is that noticable?

No questions about it. Clarion is extremely better.

Well I guess that settles it. Clarion units look so cheap and oldschool; but I guess if I want go sound quality, that is what I have to go with.

What models are you looking at that seem cheap and oldschool?

man all of those clarion units look like old tape decks with CD players in 'em instead. IMO

Not only will the Clarion sound better, it will last much longer.

I happen to think that the Clarion headunits look rather pleasing.
