Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 04:33 GMT i dont think it matters although youll have a hrad time placing a port in the middle since it will collide right with the subwoofer itself

Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 04:35 GMT unless you put the sub on one side of the box and the port on the other like my box

Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 04:46 GMT which is going to take longer to drain, a tub with the drain right under the faucet, or up in the tub where the water takes a while to fill up to? it's the same concept with a box and its port, the longer the sound waves are in the box resonating, the louder they will be when they come out of the port

Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 04:47 GMT which means the farther away from the sub the port is the louder the bass, generally

Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 04:47 GMT JL has both in their subs in different chambers, that's why the ports seems like its in the middle.

Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 04:55 GMT does carpeting the box effect the sound? some people were taqlkin a bout a frend of mine and sed that it would sound better with carpet i dont think so and they were sayin he couldnt take the few extra dollars to carpet it and make it better. if carpet makes it sound better im gonna put thick house floor carpeting on my boxes.
