OK, I saw a few receivers that say conversion from composite to S video and some that say something about HDMI, which is better and whats the difference???
in this sense if your ultimate output, say your TV can handle HDMI, these receivers will upconvert anything connected to them, from Composit to S-video to Component up to an HDMI output and relay it to your TV.
However if your TV can only handle S-video or below, it doesn't really matter that your DVD has an HDMI output nor that your receiver upconverts to HDMI
