I own the Nikon D 70 and have tried viewing photos on my Sony 50WE610 LCD rear projection High Defintion TV. I am using the video input on the fromt of the TV. When viewed photos are grainy and very Pixalted, if thats a word. I shoot in a noral JPEG format. When I view the photos on my 17 inch LCD computer monitor they look fine. Any idea as to what I am doing wrong? I am using the video output from the camera and connecting directly to the TV via the front panel video input.
You are not doing anything wrong. The video output of the camera is not for any type of high definition viewing and really only works well with a computer monitor. Plus the video input on your TV is composite and not for high definition input. If you want to view it on your TV, you have to transfer your pics to properly formatted video form. When shooting, try to go the maximum possible resolution on your camera. If you don't like using the RAW format use JPEG large and fine.
