LK Unregistered guest | The pansat 2500 is a very good receiver without some of the frills,but very dependable..what was added was an autoroll bin which automatically changes the keys data when dishnet changes them.. If U have some channels still from Dishnet,then its not a changing of the public keys problems...try rebooting it (Back of receiver,power OFF,wait 1 minute,power ON) now change the channels, and maybe scan the satellites again..U need to do much reading for a couple days to learn the programming..go to |

LK Unregistered guest | How to change Dishnet keys: 00 or 01 Pansat receivers................ press menu go down to parental controls, and press OK press down arrow and enter 0000 thats 4 zeros now go down to nagravision and press ok now press the right side arrow next to the ok button 11 times until it says dish network now press the down arrow 1 time key number should read 00 now now press the down arrow 1 time using the buttons on the remote (number buttons, To type the letters into the new keydata, press the appropriate button on your remote: Audio = A, Info = B, Signal = C, Pause = D, Sat = E, EPG = F) set the key to whatever the latest key code is 8A C4 96 93 EC 79 9D 57 ....(example only) now press the ok button! then press exit 3x to exit the menu Lastly, on BACK of receiver (not remote)..power OFF,wait 1 minute ,power ON..this is a reset This is how to change your public keys when needed, these instructions should work for both 2300 and 2500 pansats. ............................................................ Fortec key change method 1)With receiver hooked up to TV and satellite: 2)Press MENU on the remote control 3)Then right side arrow to CHANNEL EDIT 4)Go down to CODE, and press OK, and enter 1010 (could also be 1668 or 1688) 5)Then right side arrow to turn OFF, KEYCODE FUNCTION 6)Go to NAGRAVISION and press OK 7)Now press the right side arrow next to the OK button 11 times until it says ((DISH NETWORK)) 8)Go down to KEY Number, then right side arrow to set to "00". 9)Go down to Key Data and enter the latest KEY with your remote control. D5 6F BB 83 00 D8 B0 4E ...(example only) 10)Press OK, "you will see the STORE button blinking, when it stop you know that KEY Number "00" is saved. 11)Go up to the Key and Go to the right "1 time" (that will change key 00 to 01 12)Go Down and enter latest Key 01 change ..11 B1 AA A7 8B 9E 45 8B (example only) 13)Press OK, "you will see the STORE button blinking, when it stop you know that KEY Number "01" is saved. 14)Press EXIT once. 15)Then right side arrow to turn Code back "ON" and enter "1668" then EXIT, EXIT. 16)Lastly, on BACK of receiver (not remote)..power OFF,wait 1 minute ,power ON..this is a reset Fortec buttons to use for letters Sat=a info=b tv/radio=c pause=d ?=e KEY0 6A CF 0C 39 11 E7 42 60 Active...changed today Thurs 12 May KEY1 0B 27 EC 1E A8 B9 2B 0A 12-05-05 13:05:12 |

Just George Unregistered guest | It would be my guess that you are using a Dish Pro LNB.The easiest way to solve that problem would be to use a dish pro channel list which you download using Gtools. The dish pro list already has the Horizontal and vertical transponders changed to vertical only, thereby allowing you to receive all of the available transponders. There is a way of doing a sat scan and changing the transponders yourself,but it requires a bit of calculations on each transponder.I would not attempt to tell you how myself,because of the complicated nature. |

LK Unregistered guest | Then U're shouldn't even own an FTA!...anyone who can't flash/load an autoroll bin or manually enter Dishnet keys should SUBSRIBE to cable!..the keys work fine,its you! try a reset of reseiver (Back of receiver,power OFF,wait 1 minute,Power ON)..change the channel...rescan the satellites if necesaary.. BTW...If U're talking Bev,not Dishnet,then PPV and movies are gone forever to nagra2 (MUST SUBSRIBE TO RECEIVE)..and Bev keys have NOT changed..if U're talking Dishnet,U should give it up! |

Unregistered guest | Just got my Pansat and its not working I have been to a couple of sites mainly thedishguy.com and got alot of information and donwloads for the pansat 2500a but reading through the instruction, it ask for a gtools1.85 program but it say that it is courpeted and I am unable to use it. I would be very thankful for any help anyone could provide. I do have the website for the key codes but it seems that the all channels includeing ppv and adult are not working whats the deal. thank you |

LK Unregistered guest | Dorita ...U are full of BS...U need the computer to enter the keys manually!...and with autoroll U don't need the computer to change the keys ever again! Buddy..just flash the 246 autoroll bin with STB updater (many times its in the .zip file with the 246 file) then do a reset (power off,wait 1 min,power ON BACK of receiver),then U don't ever need to enter the key codes...U don't need Gtools either,only for loading channel lists which U don't need to do ,if U do satellite scan instead...adult channels and most PPV's are gone to nagra2 forever..whats nagra2?...read this |
