Odiar Unregistered guest | Best Buy was offering a free $500 subwoofer by Klipsch if you spend $700 on any speakers/reciever. I went in to the store for a HT in a box, and left w/ 2 Klipsch Synergy F-2's, a Synergy C-1, and a Yamaha reciever (110x5)... plus the free woofer. The free woofer is worth more than most of their HT in a box set ups, so I was sold. Anyway, does anyone have an opinion of the Synergy series by Klipsch? F-1 vs. F-2 vs. F-3 maybe? The salesmen was bent on the speakers and insisted they carried none better... I am looking for other's opinions or experiences w/ these or other speakers. |

Odiar Unregistered guest | One more question. The Synergy F-2 front speakers have 2 sets of speaker wire jacks in the back. One set has a triangle w/ a lightening bold icon by it, the other set has "LFE" by it. What are the differences and which should I use? I can find nothing in the instruction manual. Thanks |

Also I think Amazon.com is having some special sale on it too, around $200 shipped. Remember that if BB offers that sub for $500 you can probably get it online for maybe $200. Except for their clearance sales, BB has horrible prices and usually poor selection---they present Bose as top of the line, for Chrissakes. Like Circuit City, BB's so-called "freebies" are either no-name generics you wouldn't want anyways or they are conditional on you buying some other items at their usual ridiculous prices. About the best speakers BB has are the Athenas, they had some great deals on the closeout models but that might be over by now. How much did you pay for the Synergy speakers? Go to pricegrabber.com and see how it compares. |

Odiar Unregistered guest | Good info. I paid 303.99 per front and 169.99 for the center... all on sale. They said the woofer is Klipch's last years model. I know there are better speakers out there, but for the price, from what i can tell, there is not too much better. I did see the athena's at BB, pretty good speakers -- I'll have to go and check them out again though. |
