My brother is about to purchase a 2002 Chevy S10 standard size (the smaller size one with almost no space), and wanted to get some kind of system in there but is unsure about how much space will be behind the back seat. Can someone with an S10 or someone who knows please help me on how much I can fit behind the seat (if anything). I was thinking an 8 inch W7. If not that then what is the best setup for it, what other subs will fit, and if no subs will fit what will be the best component speakers he could put in there? Have fun with your ideas!!!!

im not sure if the s 10 has a center console but if so i just saw a guys setup that used to have an 8 inch sub in the center cosole i believe it was the old kicker solobaric round 8 inch cuz he was talking about it only needing .33 cf but he said it hit 122 db and was pround of that but id want more there are better choices than his but that gives you an idea what you might be able to do

this is the 8 inch but it only has an fs of 38.8 doable but not a super low end extender the 10 inch has an fs of 25.372 hz so if you can fit that it might be a better choice of the two

I have 2 10 inch rockford punch z in my s-10 the seats are all the way back, it's an extreme..2001 model

the box is ported and gets really loud, I did take a little out of the back out of each seat and modded them so the speakers wouldn't be pressed on though ... took less than 40 minutes to do for me

i found a box that fits two 8s 10s or 12s with a maximum mounting depth 5.75 inches but only .4 ci ft. I was thinking two 10W6v2 with a 500.1 amp, but they require a minimum of .6 cu ft each. i want somthing that will fit, and hit realy hard

this is what apocolypse just told me in instant messenger to tell you ed

no not yet i just got the site bakc to working... but give Big ed this site..tell him the custom tc sub is the soundsplinter 8 except now they work in ported enclsoures http://forum.soundillusions.net/showthread.php?p=468313#post468313
they won top 2 sound quality and hit 125 in a sealed enclsoure with only 100watts

this is also what apocolypse said

i was a bit worried when it came to the subs because the man that tested them said after a few watts ported they seemed to bottom out but the problem was fixed

you could do this amp into 1 ohm
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64571%26item%3D5780673452 %26

or this one if your carefull how hard you push the subs setting the amp to 1 0hm ...this would be my choice

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64571%26item%3D5780673452 %26

we choose the audiobahn amps for their adjustable subsonic and adjustable bass boost settings plus the fact they are class d very efficient

infinity perfect for components
