New member Username: Chvyzl1LA, CA Post Number: 1 Registered: Mar-05 | Hey all, im new to this forum but not to speaker design and construction and i've got a prob. i recently helped a buddy with buying a HT setup. the surround speakers are ok but the sub bottoms out like nothin else. i told him i could build him a decent one but he's not wanting to spend anything... i mean, he's wanting to get an ebay special !1000!WATTS!12"!CAR!SUB! and ya it would work, but the clarity would suck and it would probably be no better. can anyone suggest a good driver for $50-$60 with a low Vas (thinking 2-3 3 cubic foot box)? im gonna run a 120 watt 4 ohm amp at a 150 hz crossover. well i guess if anyone could find the thiele/small specs for the ebay special that would help too (pyramid PW1286). thx chvyzl1 |
