Silver Member Username: KklaggePost Number: 171 Registered: Dec-04 | The only thing I agree with is the part about setting the gains by ear...I've done it with a meter, a scope, and by ear and I always seem to set the gains at the same place with any method so I would say save your money on the meters & scopes. I totally disagree that the gain is a volume control...I mean you can use it as one if you're made of money and don't mind replacing fried amps & blown speakers regularly. In a perfect audio world the manufacturers would make amps that match the HU so there would be no reason for a gain control... |

DUB Unregistered guest | So yes it is alright to set gains by ear, but also try not to keep the gain real high so I wont damage the amp and the subs. |
