My old Sanyo TV has a problem-The built in speaker does not work anymore after using headphones-Can only listen with headphones now- Q:Can I temporary hook an external speaker up to it? And if yes, can I plug it into the headphone jack? Sorry if this is a stupid question, just don't know -
No, there won't be enough power for speakers. If the speakers turn off when the headphone plug is inserted, then it's probably just a bad headphone jack.

just get some computer speaker with volume control on them it a temp fix 20 dollars at the most
If you have a stereo with audio inputs at home, you can do what I did and buy a 5$ "headphone to A/V (Red and White) cable". Then you can use the stereo to provide your sound.
