I have a 2002 Silverado and looking into purchasing the MTX THUNDERFORM SUB BOX W/ 2-10 SUBS (paying ~ $300). Is this any good and what might you suggest I run to it? My amplifier budget is $300.00

-Should I keep my Stock Speaker or replace them with something else? What would you do?

Any suggestions? No hard feelings taken!

Respectfully,

Alex

For $300, you're not going to get great amps. If you're lucky, you might get JL 500/1 for around $330.
Orion XTR/HCCA 250G4/PPI PC/PCX series might be your better choice. JBL/MTX/Audiobahn are the other alternatives.

Both of Seans Suggestions: MTX 6500d and 801d are under my budget, which one should I go for. Will it sound okay for everyday use? All suggestions are greatly appriciated.

Sean:

450 W RMS Power Handling. I kind of like your suggestion of the MTX 6500d (~$200.00)

What is an HU? Please excuse my lack of familiarity with the abreviations.

After purchasing these items; do you recommend me having a specialist install them? Is it worth the pay?

HU = Head Unit = your radio/cd player.
If you haven't installed anything or don't have electronic background, then let a prof install it. It'll save you lot of grief.
If you're going that route, then look for stores that offer free installation with system purchase.

Peak Power Handling is 900 W.

Do you think this set of MTX 4500 will make me a happy camper. The reason I am looking into this set is because I wanted to keep try this MTX Thunderform Box. It runs for ~300.00 and comes with these two subs. I will replace the front and leave the back as highs.

Good Advice; I'll take into a pro.

~Sean; you been a big help. You too KK
