New member Username: EricclaptonPost Number: 6 Registered: May-05 | Specifications MSRP U.S. $: $129.95 Power Handling, RMS: 300 Watts Power Handling, Peak: 1000 Watts Sensitivity: 93dB Frequency Response: 23Hz - 400Hz Mounting Depth: 5-1/16" Impedance: 2 or 8 Ohms |
Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 540 Registered: Nov-04 | So The subs are DVC 4+4? your gonna wanna wire it like this http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp?WoofQty=2+woofers&WoofImp =Dual+Voice+Coil+-+4+ohms+x+2&image.x=7&image.y=5&image=Submit The second one down, that way you will get a 4ohm load and each sub will get 325 watts. |
Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 541 Registered: Nov-04 | Im sorry the links not workin right just put in 2 woofers and DVC 4 ohm x 2 and it will be the second one down and it will be a 4 ohms load. |

New member Username: EricclaptonPost Number: 8 Registered: May-05 | no, what kind of sub would u reccamend for my amp... 2 12 inchers? |
Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 544 Registered: Nov-04 | https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/137305.html Read over this. And look at the problem we had with that amplifier. |
New member Username: EricclaptonPost Number: 10 Registered: May-05 | that all didnt make any sense to me, it was very confusing lol so what kind of subs would u recamend for this amp? |
Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 545 Registered: Nov-04 | OK this what you gotta do, I read over it and now understand. Wire it the way i told you to one Block. It will slighty overpower the subs but it should be fine. Or you can wire each subs voice coils in series to get a 8 ohm load and put one sub on each block and it will be 200 watts per sub. |
Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 546 Registered: Nov-04 | Um what kind of subs? 12 like you asked would be fine and DVC 4+4 with 400 watts RMS. Or you can use the ones you were gonna use. |
Silver Member Username: FordpwrLos angeles, CA Usa Post Number: 246 Registered: Dec-04 | I own the Infinity 1210a( i think its lasts year's or something) All I can say is that nthis amp will put a little over its advertised power rating. No bull sh1t. |
Bronze Member Username: EricclaptonPost Number: 11 Registered: May-05 | so what do u recomend i do, i dont want to blow my subs, and i like what i got, and if i should get new subs, what should i get? 12 inches also, thanks a lot for all of the help, it is greatly appreciated |
Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 547 Registered: Nov-04 | Yes 12 inch subs are fine, Ok the simplest thing you can do is buy 2 12" single voice coil 4ohm subs with 400-500 rms and hook up one sub on each block. |
Bronze Member Username: EricclaptonPost Number: 12 Registered: May-05 | hey, what is the differeence between dual and single voice coil? |
Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 549 Registered: Nov-04 | oh man..... The difference is single voice coil subs have 1 voice coil and can only be wired 1 way and called SVC for short. and Dual voice coil subs have 2 voice coils and can be wired 2 ways and called DVC for short. examples DVC 4+4 can be wired at 2 ohms when the voice coils are wired in parallel and 8 ohms when the coils are wired in series. SVC 4 ohm can only be wired at 4 ohms SVC 2 ohm can only be wired at 2 ohms DVC 2+2 can be wired at 1 or 4 ohm now remember you can wire two subs together which is more difficult to calculate off the top of my head but an easy one would be. 2 SVC 4 ohm can be wired 8 ohm series and 2 ohms parallel. |
