Ok. Here it goes. I am re-doing my system in my car. Here are the specs:
2 12" Audiobahn 550rms 4ohm svc
1 Power Acoustik 1100 rms Class D Mono Amp

Ok....i plan on just unhooking my old system and installing the new one. My fuses on my current amp are 30x2 (so 60a). I dont know what the inline is at b/c i dont know where that fuse is.

My alternator is a 105a.
My questions:
1) Can i get this all to work with my original alternator?
2) Does anyone know what to replace the inline fuse with? Or even where the inline fuse it?

Thanks.

1) determine what gauge power wire you have

2) find the inline fuse

3) if you can't find it you need to put one in

4) get back to us after you've done 1) and we
can help you.

5) almost forgot. this is probably the most important. RTFM. no manual? do 1) and get back to us

A cap? Is that a battery?

Also:
1) If i buy a second battery just for the system, is that possible?

2) What is RTFM?

Thanks for all of the help so far. Its been wonderful.

Batteries and capacitors won't do jack for you if your alternator can't keep up with everything else. Adding that stuff will just add MORE strain onto your alternator.
A capacitor simply stores electricity for those times when you get huge bass hits and you need that power faster than it can be supplied simply from your alternator.
