Hi - new to this forum. Just moved to a new place and set up my home theater system. I currently have the following components:
TV - with all the outputs Digital Cable Box DVD A/V Receiver
I have it hooked up as follows: Svideo from Cable Box to Video 1 IN on Receiver
RCA (red/white) from Cable Box to audio IN on Receiver
DVD - svideo IN and coax IN to receiver
Svideo out from Receiver into TV
My problem is that when I watch TV, I only get sound from the L/R and SW...no Center. If I switch through the surround modes, I get Center, but no L/R.
DVD, playing a 5.1 DVD works perfectly.
Any suggestions as to what I am missing or where I screwed up?
Well this is funny? First was it working last time before you moved, have you also done a pink noise check, and a Dolby or DTS demo disc with wide band pink noise on the discs can check if the audio on the AVR, is in fact running the way it should be...
Also the rca phone leads for the VCR check them to see if they are damaged in any way, double check the connections on the back of the AVR check the speaker wires + into + and --into -- is correct.
