SPKR.GUY Unregistered guest | YA MIKE607 I SEE MEAT GUYS AROUND SOMETIMES WE JUST SCREW AROUND WITH THEM LIKE TELLING THEM THERES A COMPANY LUNCH COMEING UP AND WE NEED ALOT OF MEAT. ITS SO WORTH IT WHEN YOU SEE THERE FACE LIGHT UP WITH DALLOR $ THEN YOU TELL EM THAT YOU GOT SET OF SPEAKERS ON TRADE. THEN THEY RELIZE THAT YOUR A SPEAKER GUY MESSING WITH THEM. WHAT DO THEY EXPECT WE HAVE SUCH A BETTER HUSTLE. THEY SELL MEAT TO OLD LADIES WE SELL AUDIO TO ABLE YOUNG MEN THAT CAN AFFORD THE $,AND THE LIFE LESSON. SCAM I DONT THINK SO A FEW HUNDRED$ AND SPEAKERS IN RETURN IS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE. A SCAM WOULD BE A FEW THOUSAND AND NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. SO WHEN THESE PEOPLE LATER IN LIFE ARE CONFRONTED WITH A INVESTMENT THATS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEY`LL THINK BACK TO THE SPEAKERS THEY BOUGHT AND HOPEFULLY DO SOME RESEARCH. THANK ME LATER EVERYONE PEACEOUT. |
Peter in Portland O.R. Unregistered guest | I WISH I KNEW ABOUT THIS SCAM A WEEK AGO. i BOUGHT 3 SETS WITH MONEY I WAS SAVING TO MAKE A DOWN PAYMENT ON MY FIRST HOUSE. I WAS GOING TO SELL THEM ON E-BAY AND DOUBLE MY MONEY SO I COULD GET INTO A HOUSE SOONER. NOW I CAN'T EVEN GET 2 OR 3 HUNDRED OUT OF THEM. I HAVEN'T TOLD MY MOM OR DAD LET ALONE MY FIANCE, BECAUSE EVERYBODY WILL THINK I'M A DUMBASS FOR BELIEVING THESE GUY'S. THEY LEFT ME A PHONE # BUT I GUESS IT'S BEEN DISCONNECTED AND I'VE DRIVEN ALL AROUND THE SAME AREA WHERE I MET THEM BUT I HAVEN'T HAD ANY LUCK FINDING THEM SO I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS SO I CAN GET MY 3K BACK. |

New member Username: ReinhartPost Number: 10 Registered: Nov-05 | The people who don't agree with me want to insult more than provide any kind of convincing defense, much less provide any kind of sensible reasoning. Someone had even resorted to childish impersonation. Another here complains that he can no longer read the complaints of the people he bilked. That shows something that people must understand about white van speaker sellers: they're not concered about trying to satisfy their customers but only to take their money and leave them with something not worthwhile and misrepresented. As for complaints of this product, just do a little Google search or browse around the main forum page on eCoustics: https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-theater/3.html - Reinhart |

DanFrank Unregistered guest | what about "digital pro audio"? any info? |
Bronze Member Username: ReinhartPost Number: 77 Registered: Nov-05 | "what about 'digital pro audio'? any info?" Well, a good piece of advice is to stay away from any speaker that uses the word "digital" in their brand or words like "digital ready." That word has been used to death by marketing in order to convey a sense of quality towards the customers, even if they don't exist. And, "Digital Pro Audio" is a white van speaker anyways. As usual, my advice is to stay away from them. They aren't pro audio grade equipment, contrary to the name. - Reinhart |
John Caziliano Unregistered guest | I live close to Montreal and a black Cadillac Escalade used to follow me for about 5 minutes when I decided to stop my car in a parking. They told me that they have some speakers to sell me. They show me a receipt with the speakers information on it. It was 2500$ CAD for each speakers (TR-2810). They ask me how much I was ready to pay for them. I gave them 500$ for each (total of 1000$ CAD). I thought I was doing a HELL of a deal. So when I came back to my home I opened them just to see if they were ok and they were. So I put the speakers on eBay for 1500$/pair. One week later, someone bought them. The day after I shipped the speaker to him (in the US). The same day I received an email from the buyer in wich he told me that I'm a SCAM artist of the worst kind. So I looked on google for scam and TR-2810 and I found this forum. End of the story: The transaction was made through PayPal and the buyer opened a dispute to be refund because he was saying that the speakers collapsed when he opened the box. I'm sure it was just a way to get his money back. Anyway, after 30 days of deliberation, PayPal rejects his claim. |

Toss my salad with a spoon, and cry me a river...your all duckies." An example of why one should avoid white van merchants. Do they care about "customer satisfaction?" The quotes from many self-admitted "salesmen," who post here, such as "GOOMBA!" should be an obvious indicator. As for having "NOTHING better to do than complain on a gad damn FORUM," posting on forums do not take up very much time, so I still can go out and do the things I like in addition to posting. If it takes that much effort for you to post on a forum, "goomba," then you're an IDIOT. - Reinhart |

Does that include people I've helped out around eCoustics in getting their gear to run or clarifying technical details? The only people who seem to hate me are people who think like you. It will take more than childishness and shallow insults to make me leave. "PEACE OUT TO ALL OF YOU COOL PEOPLE, AND TO YOU (HOME O`S) LIKE KIP GO SUCK A DEEEK!!" That's hard to do for me since I'm straight. But, why the suggestion? What does your point suggest about you? - Reinhart |
Tism Unregistered guest | "But, impersonations do not contribute anything to the forum." From what I see, neither do you. Move on. "Nobody else would devote so much of their valuable time to such a wasted or worthless effort unless they were a complete loser AND/OR they got taken himself. Which is it?" You haven't answered the question. Well which is it, kip? 5 minutes here and there on several posts adds up. Tick tock, tick tock. You seem to be missing something that is painfully obvious to everyone else here. Please, take some time and work it out, genius. "everybody is stupid but me" - Homer Simpson |
Silver Member Username: ReinhartPost Number: 221 Registered: Nov-05 | "From what I see, neither do you. Move on." I will reply to any post that is directed towards me. As for contributions, maybe you should read a little bit more. The basic point: don't buy from white van merchants. That little point is the whole point: my elaboration clarifies exactly why. "You haven't answered the question. Well which is it, kip? 5 minutes here and there on several posts adds up. Tick tock, tick tock." It's hard to be a loser if you've got a great career in A/V production. And, because of my experience in this field, I am incapable of being taken by white van deals. Experience in this field allows me to see past the pitch and observe just how worthless the white van speakers are. Plus, if you have any common sense, you wouldn't fall for it to begin with. Those are the answers to your question. If you feel that it's unacceptable, then that's your problem because this is the truth and that's all I have to offer you as a reply. - Reinhart P.S. If you think that posting here is a waste of time, then why in the world are you replying here, wasting your time and life as you and other white van pushers have suggested? "'everybody is stupid but me' - Homer Simpson" "I always think it is a mistake to try and be young, because I feel the young people in the United States have not distinguished themselves. The young audience in the United States have not proven to me that they like good movies or good theatre. The films that are made for young people are not wonderful films, they are not thoughtful. They are these blockbusters with special effects. The comedies are dumb, full of toilet jokes, not sophisticated at all. And these are the things the young people embrace. I do not idolize the young." - Woody Allen |

Silver Member Username: ReinhartPost Number: 232 Registered: Nov-05 | Well, it seems to me that the people here can't think of a good counter to any opposing points, so they try to insult those who set them in their place to try and get back at their adversary that way. But, they can't think of an original insult so they always question the $exu@l orientation of those they dislike. It makes one wonder what level of maturity that these kinds of people actually have, much less sophistication and education. - Reinhart |

Kip Wells hasoYo Unregistered guest | I bought a pair of Digital Reaserch speakers for $200 from this white van man and i was very pleased with what I had boughten when i got them home and hooked them up. So what im really whant to know does any body know what they are really worth. And for the person who droped over 3k on 3 sets of them I feel so sorry for you and what kind were they. And Rinhart I feel mostly sorry for you I hope your girl friend if you even have one is not as ugly as you must be. |

Well to make a long story short he gave me the same old story as everyone else. He told me how he only makes $10 an hour. So i felt bad and gave him 20% of the price on the box. Dogg digital is the brand name i cant find any info on them are they the same as digital research? please help ! |
Kip wells F$K OFF Unregistered guest | i was on the way out of the bank and I see this guy pointing at me saying if i wanted this great deal on some speakers cus they were over stocked in there van, and if they were to bring these back there boss would keep them for his self. so he asked me how much i was willing to spend and i said a 50 a speaker and the guy said that they were worth over 1000 piece so i gave the gut 200 and got 2 Digital reseach 3 way loud speakers, I thought that the name was skettchy but im so glad i bought them cuz they sound so great with my entertainment center, and I hope to hear back that you might have got a great deal like I did. |

The shoes on your feel cost you around 100$...did you know it cost that companie a few dollers in material to make? The rest of the world sees us as uneducated and idiotic. Plus, English is a language that one must practice to be truly proficient with it. Having a good vocabulary is one of the things that's done to improve your ability to communicate, especially to those who lead big businesses. It establishes a very bad impression if you can't speak well for yourself. "I sell speakers out of a van, and i make very good money. I have had the same model Digital research in my home for the past 2 years, Super-U2's. i have never been happier with the quality of my product, and will NEVER pay retail for speakers again." Well, good for you then. But, there are still better speakers, and, in addition to retail, you can buy good speakers used or, if you have the ability to do so, you can build your own set (of course, using decent materials). - Reinhart |
Leftover Crack Unregistered guest | Good thing I bought mine with money I made from selling weed or I would be feeling pretty bad. I have to say the speakers don't look that bad but I have yet to hear them (getting wires and what not). How do I get setup in this speaker sale system? (probably not the question I should be asking with all these heated people) anyways In the city I go to school in, this sh1t would sell like crazy. I think you all have to get out in the world and see just how bad it is before you go bashing some guy for selling speakers out of a van and the guy deffiently didnt take advantage of me, I offered him $100 and we settles at $200 and some beer the next time he rolls around. helloallitsme Unregistered guest | All I do know is that there were a pair of Realistic Maximus X-100 speakers that were made in 1975. The only positive I could find about this model online was from a user review of a Sony A/V system who mentioned that this model outperformed the Mach One speaker, which is another model that was sold from RadioShack. Information seems to be elusive for this model. As for performance, ask to audition them in a listening environment and decide whether or not to buy them based on your sound preferences. If possible, audition them in the listening environment that the speakers will be used in and play music that's familiar to you to make your judgement. RadioShack did offer some surprisingly good speakers sometimes, and this may be one of them. That's certainly the case with any of their Mach series and almost any RadioShack speaker which uses Linaeum tweeters. While testing, check the condition of the drivers and see if all of them are outputting sound. Also, check the condition of the surround element on the bass and, if applicable, midrange drivers. The surround is the part that suspends the cone and is found at the cone's outer edge. If it's made of foam rubber, definitely check to see if the drivers in question need a refoam as rubber foam that is old enough will likely have deteriorated. Deteriorated surrounds are characterized by the material being scraped off easily or breaking off into pieces. Without the surround, the cone will not be suspended and the diaphragm will rub against the magnet pole. Even if the deteriorated surround is still able to suspend the cone, a worn surround can also affect the cone action, which may affect the driver's frequency response. Ask to have the price adjusted accordingly if the speaker is in this kind of condition as it will require repair, if you decide to buy it anyways. There are speaker repair shops that can easily deal with refoaming for the charge of labor and parts. Definitely inquire any speaker and electronics repair shops in your area for their labor rates for two bass driver refoams. Or, if you wish, ask if they can use butyl rubber surrounds in place of foam rubber surrounds as butyl rubber will last longer, but they do cost a bit more. Hope this helps. - Reinhart |
jamster Unregistered guest | I think SKR GUY can help you out with some new speakers. Anyway, if you don't know anything about speakers, what the he11 are you doing here? Let me guess: looking out for the weak and innocent so that they don't fall for this scam because you get so many complaints 'on the beat'. Give me a break Batman. I don't think I have to say it but I will - LOSERS!! Reinhart/Patrolman here's a tip - GET A LIFE!! OMG!! What kind of pathetic loser poses as two people so it looks like he has a friend? You disgust me. I can't even believe I responded to you. What a loser. I can't wait to tell the guys about this one. Never Again - Jamster |

AND i am a audio visual tech for Circuit City part time on the weekends, and the white Van speakers are the same components as the Sony or JVC or Techniques or the Pioneer line. Now maybe 3 or so years ago we were selling firewood that made noise, but the products in the trucks now are the same if not better for the price range of ..lets say - $200 to$400 anything over and your paying for convenience,or your lack of control,or just plain greed! So enjoy your purchase and put your feet up and enjoy the sound........PSS USE A EQ AND YOU WILL IMPROVE ANY SYSTEM 10 FOLD! |

Seriously though as other people on this thread explained you aren't getting scammed 100% (you are buying a product, it's just a sub-par one) - these are people out to make a living just like everyone else. Whether or not they are ethical is up to individuals to decide. It's just like buying anything |
BIGbad SOB Unregistered guest | LOVE the white van speaker guys! Today in Tampa, FL my fiance and I were walking into the Guitar Center to buy a drum kit. A white Ford Explorer pulled up beside us and pitched me with the typical DR speaker sale.. I had been pitched sevral times .but I let him hook them up.....and they rocked they were the PALERMO towers with a 400 watt stero. i would of never guessss they worked at all.but again(i cant belive im saying this) THEY SOUND wounderfull mid and highs were above average and the 10 in side fireing sub rattled the car next to us that the car alarm went off. Thinking he had something hidden i made him take me and my fiance "Wordollff" back to the house to hook them up. He did a pefect job ..cant even see the wires...... so i gave him $400 and smoked him out puff puff give!!!!!! |
DavefromO.R Unregistered guest | Dear everybody who is slamming the "White Van Speakers" I purchased Theater Research TR-606 from a couple of guys in a Circut City parking lot after I had been inside and priced new surround sound systems for my home. This was the third audio store I have been to and have compared a lot of different products both in price and dependability. All of the warrenties were similar but the price varied a lot. I was almost ready to spend $1450.00 when these nice young men told me they had an extra set from an install they did at a local Elks Lodge. They showed me an advertisement in a magazine and it said this exact same set was worth about $3600.00. We bargained back and forth for a while and that was fun for me because they both were colorfull and quick witted. We settled on $400.00 and $25.00 beer money. I didn't even know if they worked or if the warrenty was really any good. I'm happy to say that the speakers are everything I had hoped for. The sound is great and if they only last as long as the warrenty, then I'll go hunt these guy's down and buy another set from them. |
theweedguy Unregistered guest | Good thing I bought mine with money I made from selling weed or I would be feeling pretty bad. Next time you do decide to roll around I'll give you the fat bag of weed instead of the money now that I know what they're all about. Peace |
MADE$$ Unregistered guest | I live close to Montreal and a black Cadillac Escalade used to follow me for about 5 minutes when I decided to stop my car in a parking. One week later, someone bought them |

GOD101 Unregistered guest | Food for thought for the guy and girl who sold me a set of Theater Research 7010 speakers in Roswell GA on 10/18. To refresh your memory I'm the long-haired fool who gave into the power of greed. Anyhow, as soon as you pulled away I realized that it was a scam and decided to not even open the box of supposed speakers. As a result, after work yesterday I drove to Goodwill and donated the set for the sake of clearing my conscience. In terms of the substantial amount of money that I gave you, I pray that you also put it to good use. Next, being a teacher, I have an assignment for you. I hope that you'll take the time to watch Les Miserables and study how the lead character, Jean Valjean, is transformed when the priest out of forgiveness allows Jean Valjean to keep the stolen silverware. It's a life-changing story and one worth noting. There's more to this world than money and making quick cash, and my prayer is that you two latch on to a higher purpose. You're both very talented at what you do, so why not put your skills toward a more noble cause. One that contributes to society. I don't know if what you do is legal or not, but I do know that it's unethical. It is fraudulent. You need to understand that we're all in this world trying to seek a better life. We're all seeking a life filled with true freedom, authentic friedships, true love and joy, and I'm convinced that those who steal and lie to get by will never reach the same levels of freedom and inner peace as those who are honest and base their lives on integrity. Through the job that you've chosen, yes, you may eventually make your fortune, but will you really feel good about yourself for how you made the money? Someday when you're retired and on vacation with your feet propped up and reflecting back on how you acquired your fortune, I'm convinced that you'll never have half the satisfaction of what an honest worker feels. If you feel any remorse for your actions, then you need to ask yourself why - even if it's only an inkling of regret. I believe that in varying degrees based the decisions we make in life that there exists a conscience that actively exists in everyone. It convicts us to take the higher road and to love one another. I also believe that each person's conscience is actually God's voice telling our souls how to live according to his will - not for the sake of following His rules, but so that we can attain the best life that He has called us to live. One that is fruitful and at peace - I'm talking about a peace that passes all understanding and can only be found in Him. Again, my prayer is that you embrace a higher life for your sake, not mine. I know I'll never get my money back. This message is not about that. It's about me hoping/praying/wanting to see you on the other side my friends. There are eternal consequences to our morale decisions. Last, I hope that you check this website and take to heart what I've written. And just b/c you may not believe in what I'm saying know that that doesn't make it untrue. Truth is not based on each person's set of rules but is absolute to all mankind. That is, there are certain truths that hold true to everyone. And our conscience reminds us of the fact that lying and stealing is wrong. With that said, take care of yourself and may God bless you with a more fulfilling life! Also, thanks for helping me to understand the influence of greed in my life - pretty expesive lesson learned. Oh yeah, I also know that you stole my receipt from the ATM, and I hope that you have the integrity not to use any of the information against me. I've already contacted the bank and changed my password. I try to make an honest wage through teaching, and as you probably noticed on the reciept, I can't afford to have any more money withdrawn from my account. God bless my friends! |

BTW: Why don't you use that Kip Wells 'call sign' anymore. Attracting too much negative attention with a fruity name like that? |
Commonsense Unregistered guest | Get real, these guys are legit. All you guys think you got screwed and the cop or the BBB should get involved. No matter what 'Patrolman/Reinhart" says, they don't give a rats about a on-the-street deal where the buyer purchased the goods thinking he was ripping someone off 'because they loaded too many'. If you got ripped off you deserved to because you certainly didn't care that you were ripping someone else off. Get real people. Instead of warning people not to buy these speakers, tell them to stop being such greedy pr icks. |

Scamming is wrong, but if it gets u your money, good work i guess lol. |

I don't remember anyone saying anything about receivers...is that a different scam? |

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET INTO CONTACT WITH THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE? New member Username: LmnopqwertyPost Number: 1 Registered: Mar-06 | to frogman and all others like us, i was recently scammed out of $480 for a pair of dr-1620's. Like you frgo i thought something was up so i wrote down the license plate number of the vehicle. luckily for me my mother is a deputy sheriff dispatcher and she ran the license plate for me and she ran the phone number of the kid who scammed me. well now i have this dips#@$%ts home address and i am getting what's mine. Anyway frog et all, there us hope...contact the local authorities and say this because doing so makes them liable and leaves you out of the clear and in the right: "i thought they were legitimate salesman and that i was getting a good deal because i know a bit about speakers and thought i was getting a great deal. when i went home i looked up the ACTUAL value of the speakers and discovered that i had been scammed, i also found this website and found out that this is a nationwide scam." by doing this you leave yourself free because you did not say that you knew they were extras and you open up the opportunity for a civil lawsuit because you entered in a civil exchange. this means you can take that piece of d1ck to court and let them get ehat's coming to them and make sure that you get ehat is yours. lastly, this seems to happen at a lot of banks, as such they have cameras and are more than willing to cooperate with you THEIR CUSTOMER so that you feel "safe" going there. the key thing to keep in mind is that you must stick to your story and lie the whole time in court and elsewhere just like these f!@#$ers do so that you get what is absolutely deserved and that they lose out. ALWAYS WRITE THEIR LICENSE PLATE DOWN. even if it comes back as a rental vehicle as mine did, you can still get the name of the company and get theirs in turn....you can even lie and say that you think that they sell coke out of their rental vehicle. fight fire with fire. lastly, always always always get a phone number because you can pay $8 like i did and get even more information such as: home address, parents address, e-mail address, phone numbers, criminal records, etc. the point is is that even the best scammer cannot conver all of these aspects and are likely to screw up somewhere. don;t give up and take a chance, you will most likely get what you deserve. |

Fortunately, I was only being half of a dumbass cuz i only shelled out $120, a pac man doll and a led zeppelin cd, all easily replacable. But I'm pissed, and mad as hell at you speaker rejects who think your going to get somewhere by taking advantage of people with real lives, who are trying to get by and make a profit. You can laugh, pick on and make fun of us as long as you f%cking want but your faulty business is going to catch up with you. Youve dug yourself a hole and for most of you, its far to late to climb out. I'm going to find the guys who did this to me, who do this to other people, and who think they are so much more intelligent than the rest of society. This has nothing to do with money, but integrity, the salvation of society and the justice which the legal system has failed to bring us. New member Username: Evil_toadPost Number: 1 Registered: Apr-06 | I just got hit for the DR-2810's. I only paid $160 total for the pair though, so I don't feel as bad. When I got home, I went to hook them up and had a few problems. There are two sets of hookups in the back, so as if to seperate the bass from the mids/highs, so I went to hook up the bass seperately. Turns out that two plugs were just dummy plugs, and not even wired up to anything. Nothing a screwdriver, speakwire, and a little solder (sp?) couldn't fix. I have them hooked up to my JVC radio, and they don't sound bad. Because I have the 10's hooked up seperately, I was able to turn down the bass a little. I feel that with a little rewiring, they were worth the $160. Toad |

I am not a retard, I know home theater and have been selling it for years. I called bullshit when they came up to me and my friends. However we played along a little bit, and told them we would hit the bank and be back.... we hit up the internet and went back after finding this website. Instead of calling the police... like i said... my friend decided that he was going to teach them a lesson. So he hit the first dude right in the mouth when we walked back up on them. We continued to scrap (3 on 3) for about 2 minutes before one of them yelled they had a gun in the van, and we were gonna get shot. I called bullsh it again, but we broke it up for a second. My friend then grabbed the baseball bat out of my car and smashed the sh!t out of the windows on the van. They rolled out foched up and with a broken as s van, and we got away with a dr 1000 set up, which by the way looks pretty and sounds like sh!t... it was a good day for us and a bad day for the bad guys.... dont foch with greenwood thanks for the website |
New member Username: BlacbeardPost Number: 1 Registered: Jun-06 | I too have been scammed. But it was a teal van. So I was out on my lunch, and this guy drives up asking me if I wanted to buy some speakers, they ordered too many for an install job and a casino (standard canned approach). We haggle and I get hooked for $250 for a set, $120 in cash and $130 in a check that he accepted. I go back to my office and research these speakers so I can flip em and make a profit. Realizing then, I had been ripped off. Next day after one stop check fee, one call to the attorney generals office, a followup call to the Snohomish County Sheriff's office, and a call from my bank telling me this guy just tried to cash the check. I'm out of $140 ($120 cash, $20 stop check fee). The cops admonished me to not buy sh!t out of vans. I gave the cops, his name and license plate number. But, folks be wary of a hefty mexican dude named Gordon driving a teal minivan in the north seattle area. I was sitting in my car eating a hotdog when the guy pulled up next to me in a green Chevy Blazer. He asked if I wanted to buy some speakers, and he saw that I was wearing a NOFX shirt and had the Misfits air freshener in my car so I must know my music. He opened the trunk, and immediately pointed out the MSRP as $2999.99. I didn't even look at the brand name which was no one I ever heard before. He wanted $500 but I talked him down to $200. Yea, some deal I got. I did my research online, and I came up to this message board. I took a look at the speakers a few days after getting them, and they actually aren't half bad. If I could have controlled myself, I would have brought it down to $50 for them. I think it's a valuable life lesson. Costly, but a good lesson nonetheless. Ohh, and I have his phone number if anyone wants it: 980-254-5126. I know it's such a dick move, but he put it on himself. |

The guy told me that his boss gave him a extre set of speaker, each one cost $1699. He also gave me the catalog with the speaker price on it. I paid them $350 because I was greedy at that time. I'd like to pass this information around to everyone. He gave me his cell phone number. I called him before I gave him the money. I tested it, and he had that phone with him. The next day, I tried to called him back, but he did'nt answer it. I maybe a re-paid phone. The phone number is 214-883-6187. Is there a way to track them down to stop this scamm. Please pass this info around to your friends. |

New member Username: AdminatronPost Number: 1 Registered: Oct-06 | yeah its chill because i deservd getting ripped. simple as this, someone feeds you a line about how they sent them double the order, and they want to make some easy cash before the boss finds out - thats helping them steal, i knew that - and lost 200 wazzoos over it - so i figure karma bit me for even trying. not that they were any better than me, but then again, that doesnt mean im any better. im an 18 year old male trying to live on my own, work fulltime and afford fulltime community college(while attending) and i WAS currently in the market for more amplification, saw the deal, and knew that i was gonna get screwed... luckly i got that "2500$" system for only 200... well, when my stomachs growling later this week ill remember why i usually dont help ppl steal. |
New member Username: JuniortcPost Number: 1 Registered: Oct-06 | Carmel, IN AHHHHH.. Well ad another sucker to the list. Same story here. Walking out of a Golf Galaxy 2 guys rolled up in a green minivan. The claim was that they were delivery guys for their company (Digital Research) & taking a load to an electronics convention happening at the RCA dome. Supposedly the sales guys get the extra sets to sale so he wanted to offer them to me. Hook fricking line and sinker. I paid $450 for a set of DR-2810 speakers + a Divinci 6.1 home theater system. Break that out and paid about $150 for each box. Trying to research them online and found this site. Wow.. what an idiot I am. Glad I'm not the only one. I haven't hooked these up yet but I guess I have $450 worth of decent looking crap. Ha, & I thought I negotiated pretty well with that a*shole. I guess we can tell who the real a*shole is now! |
New member Username: FistpittingnorkPost Number: 1 Registered: Nov-06 | It's funny how all of the speaker salesmen are typing their sentences with total disregard to proper grammer and puncuation. Kind of reflects what type of person they are. You brag on how you don't even need a G.E.D. to have this job, yet you make $1000 or more a week. Don't even need a G.E.D.? Since when is being a worthless human being an even trade for a decent paycheck? Well these type of ghetto-trash jobs aren't going to last forever. You're as disposable as the toilet paper your boss uses to wipe his a$s. Soon enough you'll be out on the streets without both your paycheck, OR your G.E.D. |

New member Username: Sergio_vestigioPost Number: 1 Registered: Nov-06 | I am glad the scammers are gone from the thread, Reinhart, I am with you all the way. Speaker scams may teach someone a lesson about the hard knocks about how distorted our economy is by corrupt individuals that see fit to deceive people and take their money. Just because it teaches them a lesson, which isn't the intent, does not make it right. That is how the cookie crumbles. |
New member Username: ToobadPost Number: 1 Registered: Nov-06 | You speaker guys are a fu**ing joke you know that. I'm happy that when you got fired from Burger King you found something you're good at to keep you off welfare. I appreciate that. But to be proud of what you do and brag about it . . . that makes me feel sorry for you. You're a bunch of worthless scrubs who have only a mild talent for low level deception. If any of you guys have a family I hope you're smart enough to send your kids to college so one day they can come to work for someone like me and have the right to be proud of what they do. (If you haven't spent all their college money on 3rd hand 10 year old luxury cars) Take care. Keep doing what you do and give the real players something to laugh at. deuces |
New member Username: AdminatronPost Number: 2 Registered: Oct-06 | you guys arent getting anywhere either... telling them their garbage isnt helping - because they arent going to read it/ and if they do they're obviously ok with that... im getting email notification after email notification from another person whining, stop whining and go track one down... honestly - at this point you're saying you feel sorry for them, but i feel sorry that you're all wasting even more time on these low lifes... people steal, been that way for centuries... just let it go and focus on the rest of life. |

Platinum Member Username: Project6Post Number: 13422 Registered: Dec-03 | Yup, it is easy to get a fool to part with his money. And someone out there is capitalizing on this. It is fruitless to do research after the fact. Most of the time these fools do their research to try and find out about these speakers thinking they really made out with a great deal and get ticked off that they were the ones who got scammed. |
