It's not recognizing the disk. Every time I try to play any game or DVD, it just goes to the main menu (The gyrating dots with the "browser" and "configuration" options). According to the handbook, it shouldn't do this unless there aren't any disks in the disk drive.
So what do I do?
I refuse to believe it is broken. I've only had it since September 2004 (Not quite a year) and it's not scratched. I've tried every game and DVD I have, and I've unplugged everything and replugged it just like when I first got it. It hasn't had any problems until now.
Try phoning sony, I had mine for over 3 years before i had a similar problem. They fixed it and sent it back but it still didn't work, they took it back again and just replaced the whole system. All I paid was shipping, i'm sure they will help you.
