kam Unregistered guest | Hey i made a box for my kicker L712, i bought a terminal box.. which connects the speaker cable to the postive nd negitive side. But on my sub there FOUR places where i can put in speaker wires.. Silver Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 210 Registered: Feb-05 | sounds like its got dual voice coils, so you need to either wire the VC's in series (+ to - and + to -) then off of one VC to the amp. this will give you a 4 ohm load if its a dual 2 ohm sub or 8 ohm load if its a dual 4 ohm sub or wire then in parallel (- to - and + to +) then off of one VC to the amp. this will give you a 1 ohm load if its dual 2ohm or 2 ohm load if its dual 4ohm. depends on your amp. oh and about that terminal box, i'd take it back and just drill you a hole in the box the size of your wire, use silicon sealant if your concerned about air leaking out. thoes boxes aren't needed and can cause problems. |
