I will be hanging a flat screen LCD over my chimney/fireplace. I need help with the list of audio and video cables that I should run to the LCD flat screen?
It depends on what equipment you will be hooking this up. But at the very least, you need a video cable, probably multiple types depending on your sources. Do you have HDMI, DVI, Component, S-Video? If you have a cable box, what video output does it have? How about your DVD player, what type of output does it have? Are you going to attach it directly to the TV or are you going through the receiver. Are you going to hook up the audio outputs of the DVD player to the TV, the receiver or both?
Do you have any other video devices?
Are you going to run the audio output of the lcd TV to the receiver?
There are so many variables. If you want to think ahead, list down all the equipment you will be using and answer the questions I have written, then you should be able to determine what your needs will be.
