How would i hook up some LED's to it? i've already got the 12V source back there for my amp...but how would i be able to turn them on/off with the car like the amp? or would i need a rocker switch? |

Just remember most LED's can't handle a lot of current so a current limiting resistor is necessary. Here's an example of how you might wire a few white LED's: http://www.alltronics.com/download/WhiteLED.pdf from here: http://www.alltronics.com/leds.htm LED stands for light emitting diode and as diodes they only let current go one way so unlike a lightbulb polarity makes a difference. Make sure you have the cathode(short wire, flat side) hooked to ground. -Fishy [note] if you plan on using a bunch of these things I hope you're up for some serious soldering. |
