Bronze Member Username: Djgo_42Post Number: 14 Registered: Feb-05 | When trying to find sat 119 and I thought I found it, I did a full scan and it ended up to be Bell Expressvu. Now when I turn on the echostar package , I get Bellexpressvu coming up on the bottom on the screen. Is this bad? Should I rescan with Gtools and echostar package? Any advice would be appreciated. |
LK Unregistered guest | U don't have correct satellite..read the readme with the echostar package (select dishnetwork)...and make sure your dish is aligned to the 110 and 119 |
LK Unregistered guest | Rooms:#pansat or #fta Included files : ---------------- [1] X-85BL_050104_240_api(N).bin [the bin file] [2] EchoStarPackage.gtd [recomended sgtools channel list] [3] 2500A_040607_222_api(N).bin [original pansat bin] [4] Readme.txt [this file] Purpose : --------- The main purpose for this flash is to give you, the user a way to have your ird conform to the dishnet channel listings. This flash creates a new sat in your [sat key] info. This new listing is called, "echostar package". You will be able to press your Sat on the remote, choose the "Echostar package" and have channels come up just as on a dishnet ird.. ie.. 300 will be HBO East, 122 will SciFi Channel, etc. Recomended Procedure : ---------------------- Take the blacklist updater version 1.4 and dowload to your ird, the included 2500A_040607_222_api(N).bin. Next, Download the new flash 2500A_040607_222_api(N).bin also included in this zip file. NEXT, PLEASE CHOOSE, either you can scan your sats or put on a channel list. One or the other... don't do both. We have also included a channel list, X-85BL_050104_240_api(N).gtd. Use SGTools 1.86 to download that file into your 2500 after you have completed your flash. Proceed to the parental controls, "second pin", and enter with 0000. go to "Set Default Key" and press "OK" on your remote. Wait for it to save and exit out to the TV Screen. Now on your remote, hit your sat button. You will see "Echostar Package". Hit the "ok" key, and enter that channel list. Your channel list is imported into there and you can proceed to watch tv. You will find that pressing your key numbers, say, 122 will bring you to scifi channel and so forth. there you have it... If you are NOT USING A CHANNEL LIST. Simply set up your ird as you normaly would. Choose language and go into setup. Antenna set up is done just as you normally would. Next, after your sats are set proplerly.. do a BLIND scan of each. Proceed to the parental controls, "second pin", and enter with 0000. go to "Set Default Key" and press "OK" on your remote. Wait for it to save and exit out to the TV Screen. Now on your remote, hit your "sat" button. You will see "Echostar Package". Hit the "ok" key, and enter that channel list. Your channel list is imported into there and you can proceed to watch tv. You will find that pressing your key numbers, say, 122 will bring you to scifi channel and so forth. Remember, do one or the other. Regards, Blacklist |

New member Username: JderekPost Number: 8 Registered: Mar-05 | LK..Im really confused now. At the form at This is what I did. 1. downloaded loader 2. did a factory flash 3. then the 240BL bin 4. then opened Gtools and loaded Echostar package 5. then went to satellite and got 90% quality **** the initial instructions I used said..now select scan all but your post says to hit the sat button and pick echostar package. So by scanning sat 110 means I cannot pick up 119 channels? Would it really make a difference? Should I start over and do the factory flash..etc. Thanks DJ |
LK Unregistered guest | My instuctions (copy/paste) is written by Blacklist ...he is the author/writer/coder who made the flashs, bins ,downloaders and echostar package..Nobody knows more than him!....see the BL in all bins and flashes file names, that BL = BlackList!...just do as Blacklist instructs.. BTW...his instructions are for 2 methods...using the scan...or using a channel list with Gtools..U can do either, your choice |
New member Username: JderekPost Number: 9 Registered: Mar-05 | LK...thanks.. One last newbie question..when I load the echostar package I selected sat110 and 119 and all these channels are listed. So is that why I don't have to scan because they are already in the receiver? Hopefully this will allow me to find that 119 sat...I know your instructions to move it over one inch are correct but I continued to get only 110 and not 119. Well , hope you have a great week and get the rest of your motor fixed...I'll give it a try next weekend ...thanks again DJ the newbie |
Unregistered guest | Hi, My 501 gave me the message : " A serious problem has been detected in your receiver" - the TSOP wasn't back-up while I read the box key thru Jtag. Is there any solution without the TSOP back-up. Thanks in advance. Delince |
