What exactly do I need to hook up a turntable to my HK 325? I have an older turntable (10 years) that has a flat cable coming from the back of it. Can I replace this cable with something that would be compatible? I am told that I need a Pre-amp. What is that and how do I hook it up?
A phono pre-amp. You just plug the ouput from the turntable into it, and then connect the phono pre-amp's output to any spare audio input in you HK325.
