New member Username: Chunky_lazottMonmouth, Oregon Post Number: 1 Registered: Mar-05 | This is my first time posting. i can tell that you guys know what your talking about, so i trust your advice. i have a 1993 Plymouth Acclaim. the stock speakers are 5 1/4", but they are towards the top of the door. i am thinking about getting either of the two systems on the bottom http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/category.aspx?Ser=KPE i was wondering which would sound better, and how i should mount them. i am probably going to use this amp http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId=%27REF7520A%27&Ser=R EF&Cat=AMP also, i would like ure advice on what kind of 10" subs would sound good with this system. i have a dual 10" box, ported. should i make it not ported. i was thinking about some eclipse subs or infinity perfects, i haven't heard either of them. please help me, thank you |

Post Number: 121 Registered: May-04 | Go with the 5.1 since you got 5 1/4 factory holes,i think they need a 3" mounting depth tho so check out your car first. I wouldnt get that infinity amp,they are not the best.Look into jbl,mtx,zapco,jl. And you might as well throw that box away cuz you cant just put any sub in any box,the box is very important for the sub to perform correctlly.It has to match the subs specs. and be tuned right.But for subs look into,kicker(comp vr),jl,eclipse,alpine(type r,x),resanont engineering,adire audo.The last to are great but kinda hard to get ahold of.The perfects are decent to. |
