Does anyone of you guys have Sony speakers?
I am very confused about their term: maximum input power. What do they mean by that? Even the Sony internet support team gives me evasive answer.
Thank you.

Usually the continuous rating is 1/4 of the maximum input power, so it would probably go something like:
Sony Max Power: 200 watts
Sony recommended amplifier: 100 watts
Sony RMS Rating: 50 watts continuous
