Thursday, January 13, 2005 - 01:42 GMT How could I find out how many amps my alternator puts out? Or if anyone knows, My car is a 1991 Escort GT. My current setup is Eclipse CD3404 HU Pioneer TS-A1680R 6.5 Pioneer TS-A6970R 6x9 MTX 311D Mono 12" Alpine Type R 12" Orion Cobalt CS12D Everything now runs fine and nothing dims or anything but I was just wondering how much I could upgrade to untill my alt starts haveing probs.

Saturday, January 15, 2005 - 16:51 GMT Not really, those original 65 amps are for the original car equipment, lights , radio, electronics, etc. You can go to a HO alternator only that is not adirect replcement.You will need some modifications in brackets and harness.
