I was thinking rather than carpeting the box (since my skills with any sort of upholstry are crap), i think it would be nice to try and paint the box instead (i used to paint pc boxes, but those are steel and aluminum, not wood). What steps should i take to paint it? I probably have to prime it first, whats best to use here? I figure once this is done i can just spray black and clear coat it. Ideas?

Personly I would stain a box instead of sum sort of solid color. but my thats my opinion... Sounds good, but make sure you get a Black-black not a shiny-black(I HATE SHINY-BLACK, my sub grills where paint Black-black)
