I use quotes, since there are very few actual soundproof rooms. I'm curious what methods and materials have been used here and with what success.

I live in a condo in Boston and I used a a board from Home Depot called sound board that worked pretty well when I rehabbed the place. None of the neighbor's complained as of yet. I generally turn the volume up to a pretty decent level.
