Bronze Member Username: AraknidPost Number: 55 Registered: Nov-04 | I had an idea today on making a duo enclosure by taking a sealed enclosure and a band pass and converging it together and srewing the speaker dead in the middle. what do u think? would it have the hard hitting of the sealed plus the higher sound of the bandpass? or something like that. |

I have no idea what you're trying to do. you may want to research just what a bandpass box really is before trying to engineer some new type of box. |

Can I use paint to show u a accurate diagram of my box plan? |

Bronze Member Username: AraknidPost Number: 65 Registered: Nov-04 | how about to subs facing each other in a sealed enclosure, battling each other but it would have to be completely custom and handmade and im not in the mood for another diagram. |
Bronze Member Username: AraknidPost Number: 66 Registered: Nov-04 | no because if it was a bandpass the sub would face away from the hole. |
Silver Member Username: JmloughreyFarmington, CT Post Number: 535 Registered: Jul-04 | pretty sure thats a isobaric enclosure... |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 6451 Registered: Dec-03 | your drawing is fo a 4th order bandpass enclosure. that's the type you see at best buy made by q-logic and sold for about $50. sealed behind the sub, vented in front, or vice versa. here's some info on box types with photos: http://www.diysubwoofers.org/ check out each link on the left menu on that site. look at the images and read up on em a bit. then tell me what ya think. |
