I own a Hitachi rear projection tv and lately the picture has gotten dim, no matter what I do when I mess with the settings, it doesnt seem to be getting better. What could the problem be, how do I go about fixing it, and how much will it cost me?
Sounds like you need a "tune-up". My parents 10 year old Hitachi 52" RPTV was going very dim last summer. A tech came out and replaced a couple parts, change this coolant type stuff, cleaned the lamps and it was once again bright and enjoyable. The service ran them about $400.
