Posted on just a technical question. when people say "Xmax one way" doesnt that mean Xmech? i thought Xmax was the distance traveled from crest to trough and Xmech (mechanical excursion) is the distance traveled from the center to the crest. i may be way off, but i just wanted to get this cleared up in my head. |

Posted on got it mixed up, but close. Xmax is center to peak (one way) Xmech is peak to peak. sometimes companies will use the wrong nomenclature though, but they usually specify if they're referring to peak to peak or not.

Posted on Xmax is the smaller of Xsus and Xmag. Xmech is the combination of Xsus and Xmag. |
