Hey i got me a pair of rockford fosgates p3 this is my first time hooking them up myself.When i turn on the subs i am geting more then just bass threw the subs. Is it because i have it in mono not stereo?
What do you mean by you are geting more than just bass? Do you hear the lyrics through the sub?? Like if it was a speaker..

use the low-pass crossover function on your amp.
if your amp doesn't have this function, you'll need to find an external crossover unit to place upstream of your amp.
the crossover you use should have a selectable low-pass cut-off frequency. a good cut-off is somewhere between 50-75Hz. let your ears tell you what sounds best.
