i have an old apex-600a DVD player with DTS output and an older stereo sherwood receiver. i have DVD movies with only a dolby digital soundtrack which cannot be heard through my amplifier. any suggestions?

go to the menu set up of your apex. It should have a stereo output analog on the audio set up section.
