I have DTV setup with a subscription but would like other rooms to have tv also. I would be happy with just the "basic" channels, no PPV or anything. If I buy a couple of boxes is there a way to hook it up, or do I need two more subscriptions?
Let me know if there is a place to get these answers, a FAQ, or a beginners guide.
thanks

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You really need to explain some minor details. Is this a subscription you are paying for?If NO,then you will lose them soon. The P4/5 DTV card is not hacked so you can't hack it or get additional channels, but can hack DISH,if U want more.
If you want the same channels on another IRD AT SAME TIME,then run a splitter.
If you want same, but different channels,so you don't have all the same channels all at once on each IRD,then you can't do anything, unless you know how to hack DISH and reprogram every card with IRD.
You need to start READING before asking basic 101 questions!

Read here,in these forums! and I just answered your questions. No you don't need an additional subsriptions, but do need a RECEIVER AND CARD from DTV ($5 EACH PER MONTH)for each ADDITIONAL room, which they'll hook up to your other subscribed room at a cost, unless you think you can.Ypu will need triple LNB etc, which I don't think you're ready for yet!CALL DTV!
