Anonymous | Ok are you getting a picture, or are u getting 98 on the signal...is it in white or yellow...are u using a disqe switch, have u got the ports set up right, do u have the lastest fix,or have u just not aimed it properly? |
kaliman Unregistered guest | no picture, no signal on 119, but i get picture and 98 signal on 110. no disqe switch yet, ports are correct and yes i have the lastest fix. Thank you again |
Anonymous | how can ur ports be correct if u have no disqe switch? |
kaliman Unregistered guest | the Dish500 with twin lnbf have two ports. port one is for 119 and port 2 is for 110. |
Anonymous | u have to combine the 2 ports with a disq switch at the dish itself about 6 ft. of cable for each port into switch then out to main line.Better to get a switch that can take 4 lnbs for future needs.Pay attention to which lnb is going to which port on the switch, hope this helps. |
Kaliman Unregistered guest | i thought i don't need the disq switch if i use the dish500 pro dish. That's what i read. |
Anonymous | there are differant kinds of dish 500 if u have 2 seperate lnbs side by side u need a switch if u have one fat one, with the switch built in it will not work with fta |
kaliman Unregistered guest | thank you for your help Anonymous. |
kaliman Unregistered guest | For All Who Wish To Use Dishpro Lnbfs COPY & PASTED from Dishpro lnbfs are erronously being reported as not usable with Fta receivers because of internal switch. this is not true. You can use them with no additional switch needed. The only time you will need to use an additional switch is when adding a second dish to your system. Pro lnbfs have a built in DISEQC switch not a sw21 as the legacy twin has. You can easily identify pro lnbfs by a large black D/P label. see here:/ |
