AVAD Rocky Mountain Opens New Salt Lake City Distribution Center

Salt Lake City, UT — May 3, 2005 — Addressing the ever-growing needs of custom installers in the Rocky Mountain region, AVAD LLC, America’s leading distributor of custom home electronics, is opening a new distribution center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Conveniently located at 254 Central Avenue, the new AVAD center is easily accessible from Interstate 15. It will feature a will-call counter and same-day shipping to over 400 AVAD installers in the region, as well as facilities for product training, and technical and sales support. The center is under the able management of Bruce Carpenter Smith. An open house gala is planned for May 11 and 12, and all of AVAD’s local friends and clients are invited to join in the celebration. Special buys will be offered to clients attending this celebratory event.

“The growth of our business in the Rocky Mountain region has been phenomenal,” said Bob Prall, president of AVAD Rock Mountain. “In addition to the immediate Salt Lake City area, our new location will bring our service packages to clients throughout the state of Utah, even as far away as southeastern Idaho, eastern Wyoming and Montana. Dealers in these areas may now access AVAD’s trusted brands and products, when and where they need them. We are totally committed to continual expansion in the region, and this project represents our investment in the future.”

“Many notable regions in Utah and Colorado have experienced significant population growth in the past decade; this rapidly expanding base of custom home technology dealers in the Rockies is an ideal business environment for AVAD,” said Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD. “Our new distribution center will help the area’s installers keep up with the demand from homeowners who want the benefits of cutting-edge entertainment and convenience systems in their homes. With our new presence in Salt Lake City, the AVAD Rocky Mountain team is poised to help more installers solve those challenges.”

The fully equipped training area of the center will support more than 40 installer training seminars each year. Both CEDIA Installer Level I and II certification classes are planned for this location, as well as an ISF certification seminar later this year.
AVAD Salt Lake City will stock over 40 top quality brands representing products from audio, HD video, home theater, distributed and networked AV systems, wire & cable, telephone, central vacuum, lighting control, satellite and surveillance applications. AVAD’s Dealer to Builder (D2B) program links certified electronic systems contractors with custom and production builders to bring the best quality entertainment to homeowners. Business hours for the new center will be M-F, from 8AM — 5:30PM.
